Come and find out what species of animals and plants you can observe in the king Jan III’s residence and how nature changes throughout the year. Each of the trips will reveal the secrets of another topic regarding the biodiversity and natural heritage of the royal residence in Wilanów.

21.10.2018: Among the falling leaves
Where do the glorious colours of autumn come from? To answer this question, we have to look deep inside the leaves. Autumn is also a good time for learning to distinguish between leaves. Since the Wilanów gardens include a broad variety of species, we will focus on a select few during our walk. Let’s go for a trip among the falling leaves.
18.11.2018: A box of curiosities
Did you know that collecting is an ancient hobby? In the olden days, people collected a wide variety of objects. Rich collectors even had special rooms for storing their possessions, known as cabinets of curiosities. King Jan III also liked to surround himself with beautiful and curious items. You, too, can become a collector! During your nature walks, you can amassed an interesting collection of various treasures. They may include bird feathers, pine cones bitten by a squirrel, chestnuts or acorns. During the walk participants will have possibility to see many interesting, beautiful and curious objects that are presented in the palace interiors. Afterwards, in the park, we will talk about nature collections and how to become a collector.

Rules of participation: Participation in trips is possible after buying an education ticket - 10 PLN for each participant. Tickets are available at the museum ticket office or online. We start in front of the ticket office (yellow building at the main avenue). The number of tickets is limited.
